Based on the policyholder’s final audited premium and incurred losses at 18 months after inception, when there is a developed loss ratio of 45 percent or less, the employer receives a shared earning distribution.
Of all Beacon Policyholders Earn a Loss-Free Credit
Beacon’s loss-free credit program provides for a premium credit up to a maximum of 10 percent. Potential savings include a 3 percent credit for 2 loss-free years; a 5 percent credit for 3 loss-free years; a 7 percent credit for 4 or 5 loss-free years, and a 10 percent credit for 6 or more loss-free years.
Policyholder Dividends Paid in the Last 4 Years
97% of all policyholders have earned a 5%-10% dividend over the last 4 years. This dividend program is designed to reward Beacon’s best performing policyholders and will be distributed based on premium size and safety results. This dividend recognizes policyholders who have contributed to Beacon Mutual’s financial strength by demonstrating safety as a priority in order to keep workers safe and losses low.
